Notice of Revision to Medical Fees for Non-Japanese Patients
July 01, 2026
Starting Wednesday, July 1, 2026, medical fees for patients who do not hold Japanese nationality and are not enrolled in a valid Japanese public health insurance system will be revised. The unit price per medical service point will be changed from 10 yen to 15 yen.
Under Japan's national health insurance system, medical services--including consultations, treatments, hospitalizations, and other procedures--are assigned a set number of medical service points. These are typically calculated at 10 yen per point, and patients pay a portion of the total cost depending on the type of insurance they are enrolled in.
We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation regarding this change.
